I have worked supporting staff in the ‘British Red Cross’ and ‘Second Step’ individually and in group Reflective Practice sessions. This has included education about stress management and burnout, secondary trauma from working with vulnerable refugees, formulation of an understanding about client behaviour, and signposting and advice about their own mental health.
My training involved a placement offering Brief Dynamic Interpersonal Psychotherapy to adults with difficulties such as chronic depression, relationship difficulties, and significant anxiety issues.
I also worked in a specialist service for people with panic disorder, social phobia and agoraphobia using a Cognitive-Behavioural model of Therapy.
I am able to use mindfulness and compassionate approaches alongside considering the influence of your early relationships and experiences on the patterns you might get stuck in now.
